Second Sunday after Easter, 2026
Saint Ambrose has begun the process of prayer, conversation, and discernment about calling its new Rector.
The first step in this process is to keep in clear and constant communication with the Office of Deployment and Transition Ministry, Diocese of Los Angeles. Then, the parish will convene an Interim Committee that will take the lead and coordinate these measures:
Review past documents and create a new profile describing the history of St. Ambrose Parish, its current state, its mission and vision, and project where the Parish is headed
Review demographic information for the neighborhood
Survey the parish
Coordinate a "History Day" with the entire parish
Preparation of a Profile that can be used for announcing the position
Members of this Committee are:
Jerry, Cynthia, Marcy, Jayne, and Beth.
This committee asks the parish to enter into this holy discussion with open ears, a servant's heart, and a willingness to keep the dialogue among the community fresh and frequent.
A Search Committee will accept the information and recommendations from the Interim Committee as it then will receive candidate profiles from the Diocese.
This process has begun after a meeting with the Deployment Office of the Diocese, and will keep the parish and website updated with next steps.
